Prince Harry Clears the Air After Reporter Mix-Up During Melbourne Visit

Prince Harry made headlines during day three of his Australia tour after a small moment involving a reporter briefly caught public attention in Melbourne.

As Meghan Markle and Prince Harry continued their packed schedule, they attended one of the biggest events of the trip on Thursday—a walk through the Scar Tree Walk, a culturally significant site that reflects the heritage of the Kulin people.

The royal couple appeared relaxed and engaged, happily meeting fans, posing for selfies, and exchanging warm greetings. However, the atmosphere shifted slightly when Paul Dowsley, a Channel 7 journalist, was asked to step aside, sparking brief speculation of tension.

Given Prince Harry’s ongoing issues with sections of the British media, the moment quickly drew extra attention, especially as the couple were being escorted by police at the time.

But the situation turned out to be far less dramatic than initially reported. Paul Dowsley later clarified that there was no conflict at all. In fact, he described the exchange as friendly, revealing that Prince Harry approached him first.

When asked if everything was okay between them, Harry reportedly responded, “Yes, we are.” Dowsley explained he had only been taking selfies with the couple in the background and wasn’t trying to interrupt. He also shared a lighthearted moment where Harry commented on his constant smile, prompting Dowsley to reply, “Because we like having you here, mate.”

The incident, while briefly misunderstood, ultimately highlighted the couple’s approachable and friendly nature during their tour.
